Titel und Beschreibung Englisch The Map „Cool Air Vienna“ shows the direction of flow and the cold air path 4 hours after sunset. The flow system exists during summer season in times of weak wind and low clouds during the night. Under this weather condition there is few air exchange and therefore little cooling down of temperature in the center of the city. That´s the reason why cold air systems are crucial for the well-being of the population. Moreover there are wind field changes and the “air duct Danube” visible in the map.
