Titel und Beschreibung Englisch Air Quality Measurements in Austria 2020 - Annual Report. The annual report documents the results of the air quality measurements of the federal provinces and the Federal Environment Agency for the year 2020. The lowest pollution levels to date were measured for the pollutants NO2, PM10, PM2.5, CO and ozone. The IG-L limit values for the annual mean value for nitrogen dioxide were exceeded at seven measuring points. For benzo(a)pyrene, sulphur dioxide and dust precipitation (incl. lead), isolated exceedances of the limit values according to IG-L were measured. The target values for ozone were exceeded in most of Austria. The IG-L limit and target values for particulate matter (PM10), carbon monoxide, PM2.5, heavy metals and benzene were met throughout Austria in 2020. The lockdown in spring resulted in a significant decrease in nitrogen dioxide and ozone pollution.
