Titel und Beschreibung Englisch Monitoring of habitat types and species of Community importance in Austria 2016 - 2018 and baseline preparation for the report according to Art. 17 of the Habitats Directive in 2019. Final report. Part 2: Article 17 Report. Every six years, the European Union and its Member States prepare a report on the status of habitat types and species of Community interest in fulfilment of Article 17 of the Habitats Directive. The Federal Environment Agency prepared the Austrian reports according to Article 17 for the years 2007, 2013 and currently for the year 2019 on behalf of the Federal Provinces. This report presents the data basis, the method and the results of the report of the period 2013-2018. Almost one fifth of the habitat types and one seventh of the species are in a favourable conservation status. Comparing the three reporting periods, the status of 70% of the species and 80% of the habitat types has not changed in the years 2000 to 2018. The conservation status improved for 3% of the habitat types and 10% of the species.
