Resource title and description in English Red List of ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) of Austria. In Austria, 136 free-living ant species and further 10 species restricted to buildings have been recorded. The national conservation status was assessed based on a broad data foundation (58 548 records). Most data have been collected within the last 30 years, which precludes the analysis of population trends. Consequently, habitat availability and habitat trends were used to assess the threat status.
