In collaboration with experts from e-think, Graz University of Technology and Vienna University of Technology, the Federal Environment Agency prepares scenarios at regular intervals on the development of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for the EU reporting obligation under the Governance Regulation. The WEM scenario shows the development with existing, legally valid measures. The WAM scenario depicts the measures from the integrated national energy and climate plan for Austria that experts consider likely and are likely to be implemented. This report compares the WEM and WAM scenarios.
