Resource title and description in English Safe Together – Safe Nightlife in Vienna for Young Women The research project “Safe Together – Safe Nightlife in Vienna for Young Women” builds on existing findings regarding experiences of discrimination and harassment in Vienna’s nightlife. In eight qualitative focus groups with a total of 81 young people aged 14 to 25, predominantly young women, conducted from November 2024 to January 2025, experiences related to going out were collected and reflected upon. The research project asked questions such as: What problem areas do young people perceive, and how do they deal with them? What strategies do they and their social environment use to make going out “safe together”? What wishes and ideas do young women (and men) have about how “safer going out together” should be designed?
